The morning marsh flood tide is a redfish feeding frenzy. As water rises over the grass flats, redfish push deep into the marsh to chase bait and crustaceans. The key is finding areas with good tidal flow—creek channels and marsh points where water moves consistently. A gold spoon or live shrimp under a popping cork produces consistently. We caught 20 reds last week, with the biggest pushing 30 inches.
